ABOUT THE JAZZ ENSEMBLES
The Campo Verde High School Jazz Bands (Green & Copper) provide talented musicians the opportunity to study and perform music of the “Big Bands” from the 1920’s to the present. The bands consist of saxophones, trumpets, trombones, and rhythm sections with an emphasis to perform the different styles of music (swing, rock, blues, popular) with understanding. Students also learn to improvise their own solos with good technique and understanding.
All qualified CVHS musicians are welcome to audition for placement into one of the jazz bands during audition season in late April.
