A Season to Remember

The Coyote Pride Marching Band was invited to perform at a Phoenix Sun's vs. Atlanta Hawks game on 11/14/19 at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in downtown Phoenix. Our percussion line and guard performed pre-game in the lobby to pump up the fans followed by the marching band performing the National Anthem just before the game began. This event was a fundraiser through our own ticket sales to family, friends, and our participation in the Sun's Charities 50/50 raffle. Special thanks to all who made this event a fun success and to the Coyote Pride Marching Band for representing CVHS so well throughout the community! Team experiences like these provide rich opportunities for our students to be a part of cultural diversity, form bonds with teammates, and be a part of something that exposes them to a lot of extra-curricular variety.


Our annual 'Families Take the Field' and Friends & 'Family Encore Performance' on campus 11/18/19 was a hit with over 200 people in attendance. This tradition brings our marching band season to a close as friends and family enjoy a non-competitive, personal performance on our home turf. Tears of joy and reminiscence swept through the crowd as the meaning of our show, Weathering the Storm, sank in..... reminding us all of how fragile and beautiful life is, how fleeting these precious moments have been this season for our students, for us. Shout out to the event volunteers and BPO for making these events so wonderful for all.
